Nutrition counselling in obesity rarely fails for lack of knowledge. It fails because it happens in isolation: without medical therapy, without follow-up, without a team. At ViaSlim it is part of a treatment pathway that works.
We're changing that.
Who we are
ViaSlim is Switzerland's first hybrid centre for obesity and metabolic medicine and an accredited obesity centre. Physicians, nutrition counselling, psychologists and physiotherapy work on a shared treatment pathway that combines GLP-1 therapy, nutritional medicine and behavioural therapy. Our patients achieve on average 14% weight loss after 24 weeks. Our nutrition counselling is a major reason for that.
Your role: nutritional medicine over the whole course, not one-off advice
You accompany your patients throughout the entire programme by video and chat from the ViaSlim app, with full insight into medical prescriptions, lab values and body composition. You work from home or wherever you like, but you're never on your own: case discussions and peer exchange with the medical team and your nutrition counselling colleagues take place weekly.
What you'll actually do
- Nutrition counselling during GLP-1 therapy Protein-rich nutrition and muscle preservation during weight loss, managing reduced appetite, nausea and changed eating habits. You know what changes under semaglutide and tirzepatide, and you counsel accordingly.
- Structured follow-up Initial and follow-up consultations along the treatment pathway, reviewing food diaries from the app (photo recognition), documentation in Welkin, adjusting the plan at plateaus.
- Behaviour change that lasts Motivational interviewing, realistic goals, everyday practicality. No lists of forbidden foods, but strategies that stay with people after the programme.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration You bring the nutritional medicine perspective into case discussions, coordinate with physicians on titration and side effects, and work with psychologists on emotional eating.
- Content and programme Contributing to our 24-week curriculum with 64 lessons in the app, to recipes, group formats and cooking workshops.

- Confidence in video counselling and digital tools, and enjoyment of written support via chat

An advantage: French or Italian for patients from French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland. Experience with GLP-1 therapies or bariatric aftercare. Further training in motivational interviewing or sports nutrition.
