At ViaSlim we are currently building a new care service: psychological psychotherapy for people with obesity. You don't take over this service as a finished structure, you shape it from the ground up, professionally, organisationally and in close exchange with our medical team and nutrition counselling. Part of the work can be done from home.
You start with a team of initially around four psychologists in training. If you want to build something new and lead a team professionally rather than administer an existing system, this is your opportunity.
Who we are
ViaSlim is Switzerland's first hybrid centre for obesity and metabolic medicine and an accredited obesity centre with locations in Zurich, Basel-Binningen and Bern. We treat obesity as a chronic disease: medically, through nutrition therapy and, in future, also psychotherapeutically under the prescription model (Anordnungsmodell). Eating behaviour, emotion regulation, adherence to therapy and weight stigma are clinical topics that hardly anyone has provided structured care for so far.
Your tasks
- Building the psychotherapy service from the ground up: concept, indication criteria, treatment pathways, documentation
- Leading and supervising the team of psychologists in training
- Professional leadership and further development, including the interface with nutrition counselling and the medical team
- Your own psychotherapeutic practice under the prescription model (Anordnungsmodell), alongside your leadership role, on site and by video
- Contributing to our real-world evidence research on behavioural therapy and psychotherapy in obesity, if you wish
Your profile
- University degree in psychology and Swiss federally recognised advanced title in psychotherapy (or an equivalently recognised foreign title)
- At least 3 years of psychotherapeutic professional experience, including at least 12 months full-time equivalent at an SIWF-accredited psychiatric-psychotherapeutic institution
- Very good German
- Appetite for responsibility and for shaping things
An advantage: Experience with eating disorders, obesity or behavioural medicine. French or English.
We offer
- Genuine room to shape a service that doesn't yet exist in this form in Switzerland
- CHF 150’000 to 170’000 gross per year at 100%, depending on experience, fixed and without revenue targets
- Workload 60 to 100%
